Elon provides training and education to ensure congregations in New England understand the importance of a strong US-Israel alliance and have the opportunity to meaningfully impact Israel's safety and security by getting involved in the American political process.

Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 5:00 pm     Chanukah celebration with Rabbi Scolnic We will light the Chanukah candles and be entertained by magician C. J. May, who will relate the Chanukah story through magic. Of course, lots of latkes will be served. This event is free and open to the public, so feel free to bring your friends. Reservations are requested by calling the Temple office at 203-288-7748. This event is being co-sponsored by the Adult Education Committee, the L’Chayim Lecture Series, Tower One-Tower East, and the Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven.

Sunday, June 15, 2014 - 10 am "The Beginning of the Universe" ... According to an Astrophysicist and Rabbi's Son Dr. Daniel Scolnic received his PhD in Astrophysics from Johns Hopkins University under the direction of Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Adam Reiss. Dr. Scolnic currently holds a post-doctoral fellowship from NASA and will become a Kavli Fellow in Astrophysics for the next three years at the University of Chicago, where he will work with the Dark Energy Survey, an international consortium.
