What is Tour de Shuls? Tour de Shuls began in the Boston area as a cycling fundraiser for Camp Ramah’s Tikvah program and has grown to include Boston, Connecticut, Indiana and California editions.

Connecticut Tour de Shuls Raises funds for two special needs camps.

1.  Camp Ramah is located in Palmer, Massachusetts.  Since 1970, the Tikvah program has been providing special need Jewish youth with a full camp experience – swimming, boating, sports, the arts, dance, dramatics, and more – under the supervision of specially trained staff.  Tikvah – – meaning hope – – provides that and so much more for approximately 50 campers, ages 13-21 with mild to moderate mental retardation, autism, spectrum disorders and neurological impairments.

2. Camp Chazak at Eisner and Crane Lake. Provides a camping experience for participants 9-13 years old whose social delays impair their ability to function in a typical camp environment.
