Proposed Board of Directors approved changes to the TBS Constitution and By-Laws effective June 17, 2014 to be considered at the TBS 2016 Annual Meeting

ARTICLE IX TERM OF OFFICE AND TERM LIMITS

1. Term of office.

a. Each Officer shall have a term of one year or until a successor is chosen in his/her place or if elected subsequent to the Annual Meeting, then until the next Annual Meeting,

b. Each Trustee shall have a term of five years, and

c. Each Director shall have a term of three years.

 

2. Term Limits.

a. No Officer or Trustee of the Congregation shall serve more than two consecutive full terms in the same office..

a. All Officers may serve up to four consecutive 1-year terms in the same office with the exception of President, Treasurer and Financial Secretary who may only serve up to two 1-year terms in the same office. No Trustee shall serve more than two consecutive full terms.

b. No member of the Board of Directors who may have served for three consecutive years may succeed himself/herself in office. A retiring member of the Board of Directors may, however, be elected as an Officer or Trustee or may be appointed Chair of a Standing Committee.

c. Chairs of Standing Committees may succeed themselves, except as otherwise provided herein.
