2020-Oct-20 George Alexander would like to make a motion to allow the new website to offer the TBS PayPal account as an additional choice of payment for purchases. For example, currently we allow Cash, Checks, and Credit Cards. Discussion was held that this needs to be discussed with the committee first. A suggestion was made that the transaction fee be put back on the purchaser. Paypal is cheaper than MC or Visa at only 2.2%. Ed Berns seconded the motion. Clarification that grocery gift cards be excluded as profit would be diminished. Ira stated that the motion must be announced in advance of the meeting with a brief written summary of the proposal presented to Board members so they have time to review prior to meeting. 2019 BoD Resolutions

2019-Nov-19 Tanya made a motion to accept Fred Bobroff for a family membership and Karen Biller as an individual membership. Steve Sosensky seconded the motion. Motion passes unanimously. 2019-Nov-19 Jeff made a motion to get up to $3500 from the building fund to fund the emergency exit door in the library. Marty Bernstein seconded the motion. Motion passes unanimously. 2019-Sep-20 The Rabbi proposed a TBS grocery type bag as a giveaway for grocery cards purchases. 2019-Aug-20 Toby Gillman made a motion to approve new members: Cherni Gillman and Cathy & Michael Burwick. Motion passes unanimously. 2019-Jun-18 A discussion was held regarding length of terms of officers and the mechanisms which are in place if someone is not appropriately carrying out his/her position. 2018 BoD Resolutions

2018-Dec-18 Tanya Goldstein made a motion to accept new member Ron Hillman. Motion was seconded by Brian Lakin and passed unanimously. 2018-Dec-18 Ed Berns made a motion that prior to any offer of employment a criminal background check must be conducted through a professional agency and if there is a criminal conviction there should be no offer of employment tendered to that individual. Discussion ensued regarding the level of the offense and what sort of obligation we have since TBS has a school in the building. Josh to put together a committee to discuss further. 2017 BoD Resolutions

2017-Sep-19 Hyla proposed 4 new families for membership: Michael and Mara Nathanson; David and Ashley Kipperman; David Greene; Allen and Deborah Myer. They were voted in unanimously. 2017-Aug-15 Ellen Dworkin made the following motion: The Board of Ed proposes to increase the K’tanim expenses for the current year from $91,000 to $107, 208, an increase of $17, 208. Additionally, the Board of Ed proposes to increase the K’tanim revenue budget for the current year from $91,000 to $116,000. These changes are due to additional enrollment in the program. The motion passed unanimously. 2017-Aug-15 Brian initiated a discussion of the letter he received from The Rabbinical Assembly and United Synagogue regarding our support of a letter to be sent to Prime Minister Netanyahu. 2016 BoD Resolutions

2016-Nov-18 Josh moved that $7500 from the Building Fund be made available to the House Vice-President for the purpose of replacing the sections of cedar fence along the property line between the Temple and the neighboring house on Glen Parkway. Motion was passed. 2016-Nov-18 Hyla moved that we accept Staci Glazier as a new member; motion was passed. 2016-Sep-20 Hyla moved that we accept the following new members: Sharon Rosenblatt; Rabbi Alan & Meryl Alpert. 2014 BoD Resolutions

2014-Dec-23 MOTION made (Fran Bernstein & Josh Weissman), SECONDED (Mike Romeo), PASSED: Proposed that $1,805 be allocated from the TBS General Fund to pay for a new fence constructed by Frankson Fence Company. Frankson is a local company with a good reputation. This project must be undertaken immediately because the current fence is in danger of collapsing. If it were to collapse, K’tanim would have to close and the students would be unable to attend school. If K’tanim had to close even for a short time, the cost to the preschool would be in both tuition dollars and reputation. Currently there is sufficient available cash to pay for this initiative there had been talk of using the Donna Allison Fund to underwrite this expense, however that Fund is really for nursery school items that are enhancements to the curriculum, not for architectural necessities. Sosensky) to accept and approve two new family units as members: Jason Cutler/Ari Bush and her daughter, Suraya, in K’tanim program and Jonathan Hasson (single member), SECONDED (M. Bernstein), PASSED.   MOTION (N. Ullman), SECONDED (G. Alexander) to prepare and send letter saying for 2012-13 we will forgive 50% of all outstanding balances if paid by December 31st PASSED    MOTION (F. Bernstein), SECONDED (M. 2012 BoD Resolutions

2012-October-16  Martin Bernstein made Motion made that TBS loan the Endowment Fund up to $8000 to replace the existing endowment plaque with a new plaque with a greater capacity and that the appropriate party be authorized to enter into a contract to accomplish same. That: the loan is to be repaid as follows: For each of the next 3 years, funds will be taken from that portion of the Endowment income that exceeds the budgeted amount of $15,000.
