For information about the lecture or TBS, call (203) 288-7748. Dr. Sodi is Senior Lector II in Italian at Yale University and director of the Italian language program. She received her M.A. in French and Italian from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Italian language and literature from Yale University. In addition to articles on Italian-Jewish authors and the Italian Holocaust in literature and film, she is the author of A Dante of Our Time: Primo Levi and Auschwitz, and Narrative and Imperative: The First Fifty Years of Italian Holocaust Literature, 1944-1994. Her 1986 interview with Primo Levi was published in the U.S., Italy, and Israel. Her third book, New Reflections on Primo Levi: Before and After Auschwitz, co-edited with Millicent Marcus, was published in July 2011.
