April 2025: President’s Message

As we get ready for Passover each year, I enjoy each of the traditions, from creating my shopping list to cooking and hosting the first Seder. Most years, there are at least 15 family members around our table. I love cooking the dishes that my dad passed down to me, sharing stories from my childhood with my daughters, reading from the Haggadah and teaching them why we celebrate Passover.

But it’s not just about my family; it’s about our entire synagogue community. When we come together for Passover and other holidays and simchas, we strengthen our connections with one another. Sharing our experiences and stories helps us build a sense of belonging. As we retell our stories and share our traditions, we create lasting memories that help our members feel connected to our faith and community. While I have to go to my in-laws’ for the second seder and will not be able to attend, please remember that if you are looking for a seder on Sunday night, April 13th, our synagogue is hosting the Community Second Seder.

From my family to yours – I am wishing everyone a meaningful and joyful Passover! Chag Sameach!
