I hope everyone has managed well through this unusual, but not drastic winter. Our Pandemic Committee has worked hard to keep everyone safe when in the Temple. We now have air purifiers in all the rooms. Throughout this year, we will continue to wear masks. Also, we will continue to modify and adjust our protocols per CDC and appropriate guidelines, as we have throughout this Pandemic.
With Purim, a happy holiday approaching, wearing a mask is finally something for which to look forward. Listening to the Book of Esther, dressing up in costumes, partying, making a big megillah and eating hamantaschen is definitely something positive in the near future. Many thanks to Michelle Lakin and her committee for Shalach manos again. We so anticipate this every year.
Next month is the culmination of our 75th Temple Beth Sholom Anniversary, with a wonderful celebration. Hinda Piscitelle and her committee, Sisterhood and Men’s Club are working hard to make this a wonderful tribute to our Temple and its members. Many fun and nostalgic activities are planned including yummy appetizers and desserts. We hope everyone will join us. We are also looking forward to that time soon, when we will all be able to see everyone in person, without a mask. Coming back into the synagogue and being with our Temple family will be such a joyous occasion.
Happy Purim,
Joan Levine
