July 2021: President’s Message

As we come upon the new year, we should reflect on what we have learned from the unusual nature of this past year. We look forward to a positive new year, with all its promise and possibilities.

We are continuing to celebrate our 75th year as a congregation. How proud we should be at this accomplishment. Hinda Piscitelle and her committee have really outlined our Temple history with more to come. It is our responsibility to continue the strength of our Temple community by participating in our many various committees, activities, Shabbat services & evening minyans. Presently, all arms of the Temple are busy making plans for this coming year.
We want to thank Morrow Long for his significant efforts in securing a grant for a security guard at Shabbat services and Sunday school. Having a security guard reminds us that safety is a priority. These funds were available thru the generosity of the Arthur Eder Family Fund of the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven and were made in memory of Arthur and Yvette Eder.
On this Rosh Hashanah, let us pray together that this be the year that you find clarity in your search for a meaningful Jewish experience.
Steve and I wish you a sincere and heartfelt Shanah Tovah Umetukah.
A healthy and sweet year from our family to yours.
