Social Distance Increases Need for Social Action
Donate to the Diane Kaplan Social Action Fund

The Diane Kaplan Social Action Fund is the best way to support TBS’ commitment to our greater community. A monetary donation to the fund allows us to purchase items our organizations need. Thank you for your generosity, we are all making a difference.

Ongoing Programs:

We will resume all programs as soon as possible. Some programs can be done at home.

Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen: We collected frozen turkeys to donate to DESK for Thanksgiving. Thank you to all who donated! See DESK (https://www.deskct.org) for other ideas on how you can help. Contact Gary at gdknix@gmail.com

Knitting Project: A total of 250 Hats and scarves have been distributed to DESK, New Reach and Keefe Center. Thank you to all our knitters for their dedication and

M.L.Keefe Center: School Supplies are an ongoing need! We will purchase the supplies, if you make a financial donation. At this time because of Covid 19 we are not
accepting donations of items at the temple. Call Randy at 203-248-0286.

Fresh Fruit Program: The fresh fruit delivery program is back in action.We are in need of volunteers to deliver fresh fruit for January, February and March. Martha’s
Place and Life Haven are just as concerned about everyone’s health and safety as we are, so deliveries can be “touch less”. Contact Deborah Wilkenfeld_deborah@yahoo.com

Collecting Pop Tabs for Ronald Mc Donald House: Please collect your tabs and bring your tabs to TBS once we can return. Once we have a good amount they will be

New Reach: A donation of 20 twin blankets were purchased in association with The Probus Club. We have been able to provide holiday wish list gift cards to clients for the holiday season. New Reach is now accepting baby and children’s clothing. Please make your financial donation toward this and our other projects. Call Fran at 203-430-7362.

Tower One/Tower East: We are providing financial support for the kiddush following services. Call Eta at 203-281-3349.

Toiletry Collection for Homeless: Save your toiletry samples to bring to TBS at a later date.
