Happy 2017! Winter is in full swing and with it comes the cold weather, wind, snow and early nights. In addition to wishing everyone a happy and healthy secular new year I would also like to wish everyone a safe winter.
With the extreme low temperatures and snowfall that we get here in Southern Connecticut it is important that we keep an eye out for the safety of each other. If you happen to be in and around the synagogue, please be careful. Our staff and volunteers do their absolute best to make our facility safe but sometimes the weather does not cooperate with our plans and efforts. If you see something that needs attention, inside or outside the building, please let someone know. Obviously, you can always contact me or Josh Weissman, our House Vice President. Additionally, you can contact the office or any other Board of Director or Temple Officer. It is our responsibility to look out for each other’s safety. To take a quote from the Department of Homeland Security, “If you see something, say something.”
