Temple Beth Sholom, TBS, is an egalitarian synagogue located in Hamden, CT with 400 member families and singles from the Greater New Haven community who enjoy the traditions of Conservative Judaism with gender equality and participation. TBS is committed to providing intergenerational functions for the entire family. TBS is affiliated with the USCJ.

Torah

K’tanim Preschool NAEYC accredited for children two through four years old.
Hebrew School    from Kindergarten age through High School.
Rabbi’s Bible Class   every Wednesday night for more than thirty years.
L’Chaim Lecture Series   search the Calendar, come, it is open to the community.
Esther Swinkin Library   has something for all ages to study and to learn.
Adult Education   has Hebrew, Yiddish, Writers, Book & Movie groups.

 

Worship

Twice Daily Minyan   join the morning and evening minyanim.
Kabbalat Shabbat   every late Friday night with kiddush.
Shabbat Service   every Saturday morning with kiddush luncheon.
Holy Days   are all observed throughout the year.
Bat/Bar Mitzvot   training for the special day.

 

Deeds of Loving Kindness

Social Action   works with the greater community.
Isaiah Project   is feeding the poor.
Israel Affairs   cares and acts.
Men’s Club   is there wherever help is needed.
Sisterhood   join to execute our projects.
