Free Gilad Shalit!

Thanks to your engagement and activism, over 12,000 messages to Gilad Shalit were handed by the JCRC-NY to the American Red Cross of Greater New York for delivery to the International Committee of the Red Cross. A booklet with these messages is also being sent to Israel to be personally given to Noam and Aviva Shalit, Gilad’s parents, as they conclude their 11-day march from the north to Jerusalem.

In addition, we are pleased to inform you of the passage this morning of a resolution in the United States Senate (S.Res.571) authored by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Gilad Shalit.
